XFKM Prebuilt Ni80 Alien Clapton Coils (10 Coils)

An alien Clapton, usually referred to as an alien, is a de-cored Clapton, wrapped around a multi-strand core. It is similar to a fused Clapton, except the outer wrap has a very distinct texture. Aliens have a slower ramp-up time than fused Claptons due to their larger surface area.

Nichrome wire is an alloy composed of nickel and chromium, and may also contain other metals such as iron. Fun fact: nichrome has been used in dental work, such as fillings.

Nichrome comes in a variety of “grades”, with ni80 (80% nickel and 20% chromium) being the most popular.
